Day 1: Lynton, Lynmouth & the Valley of Rocks

Distance from Seacroft by car: 30–35 minutes
Start your coastal adventure with one of the most iconic spots on the Exmoor coastline. Head to Lynton & Lynmouth, the official start of The Salt Path, and walk through the Valley of Rocks, a dramatic natural amphitheatre where wild goats roam and sea views stretch endlessly.

🚶 Suggested route: Lynmouth → Valley of Rocks → Lee Abbey loop (approx. 5–6 miles)

Day 2: Seacroft to Lee Bay or Morte Point

Leave the car behind and walk straight from Seacroft! This section of the South West Coast Path offers cliff-edge paths, wildflower-covered hills, and a real sense of escape.

🚶 Suggested route: Ilfracombe → Lee Bay → Bull Point → Morte Point → Woolacombe (up to 7.5 miles)
🚌 Return: Use the local bus service to return to Ilfracombe, or plan a circular route via inland footpaths.

Day 3: Woolacombe to Croyde Bay

Explore the surf coast of North Devon with this stunning sandy-to-sandy route.

🚶 Suggested route: Woolacombe → Baggy Point → Croyde Bay (approx. 6 miles one way)
💡 Extend with a beach walk or cliff-top detour if energy allows.

🚌 Return: Take the Exmoor Coaster or local bus services back to Woolacombe or Ilfracombe.
